The Doll Ministry, which began May 5, 1998, is a very special ministry at Lake Carroll. The ladies that are involved are dedicated to making dolls for people who have special needs. Some recipients are cancer patients, terminally ill patients, abuse victims, heart surgery patients and many more. Children graduating from the Learning Center also receive a doll. The ladies have had a sewing room designated for their ministry as well as many items being donated. Items donated include four sewing machines, fabric, polyester stuffing, most all notions and money. So far, there have been 1300+ dolls donated to the following places:
- Tampa General Children’s Cancer Hospital
- Hillsborough County Sheriffs
- University Community Hospital Shrines’ Hospital
- St. Josephs Children’s Cancer Hospital
- Lake Carroll Learning Center Graduates
- Sheriffs in Brandon
- John Knox Medical Center
